Titan G3T Notebook Cooler
February 11th, 2006 by Keith in Miscellaneous Gadgets, PC Gadgets
The Titan G3T is one of the latest product from Titan, a well-established company in making top quality computer accessories from Taiwan. Looking attractive from the exterior design box, the Titan G3T notebook cooler is what the name intended to do, cool down notebook.
Impressively, the piece of aluminium does not weigh a lot, which in fact made the overall matt finish feature looks cool. Looking neat and tidy in real life, the overall size is only324 x 264 x 27mm in dimension. Two fans are installed inside the cooler pad, which can be easily turned around if you want the air to flow in a different direction.
The fans are only 70 x 70 x 15mm, each spinning at 2,000rpm for an air flow of 33CFM and keeping at a noise level below 23dBA. So quiet then. Naturally, the air is sucked in from the side of the pad, and trusted upwards where the notebook sits on, cooling away the heat dissipated by the laptop processor and graphical processor in the notebook. Powered by USB connection, the fans merely draws current from the notebook’s USB port, which means it just do away with unnecessary bulky power adaptor.
Product Specifications:
- Rated Voltage: 5V DC
- Power Current: 0.28A
- Power Consumption: 1.4W
- Rated Speed: 2000 ± 10%RPM
- Airflow: 33.28 CFM
- Noise Level: < 23.2 dBA
- LDimension: 324.5 x 264 x 27 mm (W x D x H)
Apart from the sharp edges that are left exposed and therefore posing as a potential hazard for unknowing users, the Titan G3T was an efficient notebook cooler with very little for us to fault. If your laptop is giving you a hot lap, perhaps the time has come for you to invest in a notebook cooler; a Titan G3T could fetch you merely USD$35, a good price to pay to avoid having a “fried” processor.
