Green Glow in the Dark Pigs

fluorescent green pigs
Is this a gadget, well no but it’s still pretty darn cool, green fluorescent pigs.

Scientists have managed to to genetically modify 3 pigs so that they glow green in
the dark. I think the reasoning is one of “because we can” and the benefits are countless. Like err you can see them in the dark so you won’t run them over and just as importantly you can eat pork sausages with the lights off.

I can just image the sort of dinner table talk these scientist must have:

Wife: What did you do at work today?
Scientist: I did a bit of stem cell research
Wife: What does that mean?
Scientist: It means we can now breed green fluorescent pigs

The only info I’ve found so far about these 3 little pigs is on Yahoo News Photos
