Nuvo
by Anita in Wacky Gadgets
Nuvo is the very first humanoid robot that was designed especially for home use. He walks, talks, listens and reacts. When he was first introduced, he became very popular throughout Japan and after a few English lessons; he is now available all over the world.
He may look more like a modern sculpture than a robot, but he is in fact a very high-tech creation. He has 4 sensors, 15 joints, a dual microphone, speaker, wireless LAN and many more unique features that give Nuvo the ability to interact with his surroundings and life.
He is so much more than just a conversation piece. He does understand and respond to various verbal commands, remote control and can even be controlled via any web browser.
He will walk up and extend his hand to greet someone, play your favorite MP3’s, and with the built-in CMOS sensor he can capture images from anywhere in the world.
This is one great interactive robot to have around the home. Who needs a pet that needs to be taken outside, feed and watered when you can have Nuvo in your home? He may not be soft and cuddly, but you are sure to enjoy all the fun you can have with your own personal robot. Well, if you do decide to take him on walks with you, he will be able to keep up with you while walking at 10 feet per minute and he will not have to stop and sniff every tree along the way.
Nuvo is 15.35 inches high by 13.78 inches wide and 4.72 inches in depth. You can choose from silver, blue, red, or yellow for your favorite new friend.
The price tag is quite high at $6995.00, but after all, you are getting a personal robot before anyone else in your neighborhood. Be the first to step into the future with a unique and personable robot. For more information, you can check it out at dynamism.com
