Is it a boat, is it a plane no it’s a Hydro Fibian

Hydro Fibian
What remote control toy costs 300 quid and doesn’t now whether it’s a boat or a plane, the Hydro Fibian of course.

I must admit first impressions are not great, this does not look like three hundred pounds worth of advanced remote control quality kit and the official website leaves a lot to be desired in the design department but this toy is cool…

Boat or plane kit
Okay it’s a lot of money but you’re getting a remote control flying boat that you also get the pleasure, frustration and pride of making your self. It’s probably not suitable for beginner model makers or fliers and the kit does look like it was made in an eccentric grand fathers shed, consisting of:

  • 1 X 35mHZ 4 Channel long range Receiver
  • 3 X Micro servo’s
  • 35mHZ Transmitter with built in mixer
  • 1 set of crystals
  • 1 X Propeller
  • 1 X Prop saver
  • 1 X Brushless motor
  • 1 X Brushless Electric Speed Controller
  • 1 X Li-Poly 11.1V 1000mA battery
  • 1 X Li-poly Battery Charger
  • Carbon rods and stiffeners
  • EPP body plane
  • 1 X Instruction CD Rom
  • 1 X Cyanoacrylate Glue, developed by us in the UK to not attack EPP and Depron like other glues
  • 1 X Activator for glue
  • 8 X AA Batteries for transmitter
  • Solar film in yellow and red

The pictures and video still look very cool to me, so if you can afford the price tag check it out.

That is so cool. I reckon you’d need another kit of spare parts to replace the ones you bent while you were learning to fly it but - wow.
